WB-40: Episode 5 – 13 years since IT mattered

It’s over 13 years since Nicholas Carr’s infamous HBR essay IT Doesn’t Matter. In this week’s WB-40 Matt and Chris look back at that article and ask what of it still might apply today.

We are also joined by CIO expert Mark Chillingworth for his take on the importance of the contemporary CIO.  What does the role need now that IT has been massively consumerised and many core IT services are essentially commodities?  Does it even need to exist, and has the ‘Information’ part of the title ever really been relevant?
