One of Matt’s playing card projects, only 50 packs of this edition of the Business Meerkat have been created for sale. The cards tap into the human instinct to find patterns in random information, helping individuals and teams reframe situations and problems and have conversations that would otherwise remain unsaid.
Based loosely on the principles of Tarot, the deck comprises character cards that represent a whole spectrum of people and roles in organisations, forces cards that encapsulate internal and external pressures, and multiplier cards that present increases and decreases in employees, money, customers, and products.
The cards can be used in simple and more sophisticated deals to explore business challenges and scenarios and come up with new ideas and alternative narratives. The cards can also be used to provide random input into more traditional business analysis techniques like SWOT or Porter’s Five Forces to help people think about their scenarios laterally.
